Texas Rising Stars Honors Four ONDA Family Lawyers

News

Partner Jacob Jeffries ranked among state’s top 100 up-and-coming attorneys

DALLAS – Orsinger, Nelson, Downing & Anderson, LLP (ONDA) is pleased to announce that four of the firm’s family lawyers have earned placement on the list of Texas Rising Stars for 2024, an exclusive listing from Thomson Reuters and Super Lawyers that honors only 2.5% of eligible lawyers in the state each year.

Honorees include partner Jacob Jeffries, who was also selected among the top 100 Up-and-Coming lawyers in Texas regardless of practice area. Mr. Jeffries focuses on unique litigation matters that invoke obscure issues from the Texas Family Code. He is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Family law attorneys Melissa Cowle, Christopher Lambert and Carley Horne were also recognized by Texas Rising Stars.

Both Ms. Cowle and Mr. Lambert are repeat honorees of Texas Rising Stars and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, and recently earned their Family Law Board Certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Cowle was recently featured in D Magazine’s Best Lawyers Under 40.

Ms. Cowle focuses on divorce, property division, paternity, child custody and modifications. Mr. Lambert’s practice centers on divorce, child custody, enforcements, adoptions and family law appeals.

Recognized for the second year, Ms. Horne focuses her practice on high-asset divorces, contentious child custody matters, protective orders and other matters. She is a member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association.

“Our entire team is so excited to see these very deserving lawyers be recognized in this way,” said managing partner Scott Downing. “Each of them brings unique skills to the table and our clients benefit from their hard work and dedication.”

Texas Rising Stars honorees must be age 40 or younger or have been practicing law for 10 years or less. Attorneys are selected based on peer nominations and independent research, followed by an advisory board review.
