Scott Downing Offers Insights to Unusual Divorce Saga

When the Houston Chronicle looked into charges of questionable legal practices by the attorneys representing Winnie Alwazzan, a Galveston woman who was awarded more than $400 million in her divorce two years ago, they asked ONDA partner Scott Downing about the unusual case. Although Downing specializes in big-dollar divorces, he is not connected to this specific case.

“What’s incredibly rare to me is the fact that it’s become public.” When such cases become public, he said, it often means that the parties are motivated by something other than money.
