Frances Seman
Associate, Attorney at LawBiography
Frances Seman understands that, for those coming to see her, family law can be painful. Often, her clients are going through one of the most difficult periods in their lives, and her goal is to get them through that as quickly and as comfortably as possible.
Before becoming an attorney, Frances spent 10 years teaching middle and high school students, and in that time she learned several important skills. The first was how to ask the right questions. This helps her gain as complete a picture as possible of what her clients are going through, so she can put the best plan together to resolve it. She also learned ways to take often complicated subjects and break them down in ways that are easy to understand. Those Frances represents come away feeling like they had someone who was truly in their corner, understood their issues, and was looking out for their best interests.
Frances served in the United States Army for six years, being honorably discharged in 1998. She later worked for Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, where she helped victims of domestic violence. Each of these positions – servicewoman, teacher, attorney – she took on because she had a true desire to help others and effectuate positive change.
Frances has a master’s degree in drama and a bachelor’s in art and performance. When not in the office, she enjoys going to the theater and spending time with her family.
